I have lived my life
afraid of food.

I have lived my life afraid of food. I have struggled with dieting my entire life. I hit a point after my divorce that I was ready to leave survival mode.  I started working out regularly, and doing all the things I've done before to try and get back into shape, but it wasn't working. 

​

I cut carbs and upped my workouts. I was running and hitting the gym 5 days a week!! When that wasn't working I went to the doctor because I figured something must be broken. I had a full blood panel done. Checked all my hormones and guess what!?!?! EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL!!! I was at a loss.

 
Last May I signed up for a nutrition challenge through my gym, and was introduced to Meredith. The first thing she had me do was eat MORE!!!! I thought this lady is CRAZY!!! To my happy surprise I lost 8 lbs in those 30 days! I decided to trust the process and keep working with her.

 

Since then I went from eating 1000-1200 calories a day to 2100! I'm so grateful to you, Meredith, for teaching me that food is not my enemy and I don't have to live on protein shakes and supplements!  Not only have I seen amazing physical results, I sleep better and have learned how to fuel my body properly. Im forever grateful.

I reached out to Meredith during my training for the Chicago marathon. I was following the training schedule, but I was not able to get my nutrition plan sorted to support my runs. With 3 months to go, Meredith helped me with getting a plan together and my training became better. She also helped me with a nutrition plan for race week and during the race. She made the plans practical and easy to follow. She considered my habits and the things I like to eat. Best of all, all my check in were fun, she is a great person. Even if I messed up, she was always very supportive and helped me figure out how to get better. I was thrilled with the results. It has been my best run ever! I felt amazing! If I plan something like a big race again, I will for sure ask Meredith to help me be successful again.

I worked with Meredith a while ago and she worked wonders with me. I was going back to school and was constantly stressed. She was able to help me see how stress triggers reactions in your body and how it may hinder progress. However, even with all of the stress of going back to school and studying, she was able to help me gain an immense amount of confidence in myself. I was short on time to be able to work out, but she showed me how with eating the right foods and the right macros my body will change. And it did. I was able to lose those last 10lbs that everyone struggles with and was still able to enjoy normal foods. I did not have to cut them out entirely. Which I loved. When Covid hit, I felt like I had very little control of my life. I took that time to work with Meredith to tune up my nutrition, and learn more about my body's needs. I gained knowledge on what made my body operate, what could cause it to slow down, how life factors played into my nutrition and success, and I always looked forward to my check-ins with Meredith. When everything around me felt unknown and uncontrolled, I found control and balance through nutrition coaching with Meredith.

While the number on the scale never defines us, I did have a certain goal weight in my head I wanted to see myself at, even if it was just once. Meredith guided me in achieving that goal through a safe and practical plan. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the scale! Achieving my goals and having the coaching needed to do it the right way, helped confirm I could always go to Meredith with whatever personal goal I was chasing. 

 

I enjoyed having a similar background/interests to Meredith. I felt like she understood me, my goals, and my habits. She's there to help you with your specific goals, even if it's just looking good naked or feeling good everyday.

Whether it be accountability, dialing in on good habits, or maybe shedding some bad habits, Meredith has always taken an easy to understand approach. More than just health and wellness coaching Meredith has become a sincere friend to our family, having someone to hold you accountable and help guide you through nutrition is fantastic, but when it's with someone you can call a friend it makes it so much easier. 10/10 experience with Meredith!

I have always been a competitive person and when I joined CrossFit it was no different. I worked hard and put in many hours of training but progress was slow and not where I wanted to see it. I decided that I needed to contact someone about my nutrition and get my diet on track if I really wanted to get better. I needed to eat to perform.

 

I found my way to Meredith and knew that she was exactly what I needed. She walked me through every step we took and explained the reasoning behind our direction. I have done CrossFit for 8 years and I have not experience success in being competitive until I joined forces with Meredith. I made it past the CrossFit Open to the Semifinals in the Age Group Qualifier and in the Elite divisions. I could not have made it without Meredith’s help and I look forward to seeing how much better I can become!
